Mr. Schreiber's practice concentrates on representation of start-up companies from incorporation through an initial public offering or acquisition and representation of public companies in acquisitions and joint venture activities. Mr. Schreiber's clients range from venture-financed start-up companies to publicly traded companies.
Mr. Schreiber has represented numerous private, VC-backed companies, primarily in software, semiconductor, networking and life science technologies, including BountyJobs, Buzz Media, D2C Games, Denali Software, Enkata Technologies, Good Technology, Haute Secure, iCurrent, ImageShack, Joby, MobilePeak Systems, Nexsan, Permuto, Pivotal Systems, Precise Software, Proferi, Quantivo, Queplix, Rhythm NewMedia, SCP Global, Silver Peak Systems, Slideshare, SuccessFactors, Sunrise Telecom, Uptake, Vudu, WhiteHat Security, Wordnik, Xignite, and Zappos.com. He has also represented several private, VC-backed Israel companies, including LightSand Communications, Monosphere, Precise Software, Qlusters and Siliquent; and several venture capital firms, including Apex Partners, Azure Partners, Baseline Ventures, Benchmark Capital, DCM, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Greylock Partners, InterWest Venture Partners, JAFCO Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Opus Capital Ventures, Palo Alto Venture Partners, Rembrandt Venture Partners, Sierra Ventures, Sigma Partners, Storm Ventures, Sutter Hill Ventures and Venrock.
Mr. Schreiber has represented the following companies through their initial public offering: Alantec, Ascend Communications, FiberTower Corporation, Enlighten Software, GoRemote Internet Communications, Homestore.com, Puma Technology, Raytel Medical, SuccessFactors and Vantive.
Mr. Schreiber has represented the following companies, among many others, through their acquisition: Ascend Communications' $19 billion acquisition by Lucent Technologies; FiberTower's $1.5 billion merger with First Avenue Networks; Zappos.com's $920 million acquisition by Amazon.com; Integrated Systems' $460 million acquisition by Wind River Systems; TriVida's $180 million acquisition by BeFree and Siliquent’s $85 million acquisition by Broadcom.
The additional public companies he has represented include Adaptec, Biovail, Castelle, Philips Electronics and Siemens.
Prior to receiving his law degree, Mr. Schreiber earned a C.P.A. in California in 1990 while working at Deloitte & Touche.
