Profile

Ms. Riley's practice concentrates on employment litigation and counseling and litigation of intellectual property and complex commercial disputes.

In her employment litigation practice, Ms. Riley defends employers against claims for discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; wage and hour and California Labor Code violations; unfair competition and trade secret violations; breach of contract; and many other claims in state and federal court. In her employment counseling practice, Ms. Riley advises employers about trade secret protection, wage and hour issues, leaves of absence, company handbooks and policies, employee terminations, and many other personnel issues.

Admitted to Practice

Member of the State Bar of California and admitted to practice in the state courts of California and the Northern District of California. Ms. Riley serves on the Leadership Development Committee for the Association of Business Trial Lawyers and is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Additional Information

During her studies at Hastings, Ms. Riley earned Best Brief, Fourth Best Oralist, and Best Overall Advocate for her participation in the Snodgrass Competition. She also competed as a member of the Hastings National Moot Court Competition Team.
