Fenwick Recognized Among Best Patent Firms Nationwide

Mountain View, CA (December 1, 2015) – Fenwick & West announced today that the firm’s patent practice has been recommended nationally in the 2015 issue of IP Media Group’s IAM Patent 1000, a guide to the world’s leading firms and individuals in private practice. The firm is recognized in the highest tier for patent prosecution and transactions nationwide and 13 attorneys are honored for their work.

“Fenwick & West is a truly versatile performer in the patent world,” the firm’s profile in the guide opens. “A spirit of innovation characterizes its outlook, so industry trailblazers regularly turn to it to secure cornerstone patents, as well as for strategic guidance. Thanks to the portfolios it builds, many startup clients find themselves the target in big-money acquisitions.”

IAM Patent 1000 ranks Fenwick in the first tier nationwide for patent prosecution and transactions in addition to recommending the firm for patent prosecution and transactions in California and patent prosecution in Washington. The firm is also recognized for its patent litigation practice in both California and Washington.

The guide also honored 13 Fenwick lawyers as leaders in their fields – five for patent transactions, five for patent prosecution, three for patent litigation and one nationally for post-grant procedures.

Of Fenwick’s patent litigation practice, the guide noted, “the firm’s trial lawyers never get tunnel vision on the legal aspects of a case – they are commercial thinkers who keep practical objectives.”

The 2015 rankings echo last year’s rankings, which recognized 13 Fenwick attorneys as leading practitioners and declared that the firm “has secured a place in the hearts and minds of companies and research entities across the globe.”
