Seattle, WA (November 5, 2013) – Fenwick & West is pleased to announce that partner Andrew Serafini was named Volunteer of the Year for 2013 by the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association (WBBA). Fenwick is an avid supporter and sponsor of WBBA’s efforts, and Dr. Serafini, an intellectual property partner in Fenwick’s life sciences group, has been an active leader of WBBA for over a decade, serving as chair of the Program Committee for nine years and co-chair of the annual investment conference, one of the largest events of its kind in the country, in 2013 and again for the upcoming conference in 2014. Andrew received the award at the WBBA’s annual meeting in front of 700 of the Pacific Northwest’s leading executives, investors and innovators in the life sciences space. In presenting the award, the WBBA president included in his remarks an appreciation for Fenwick and the firm’s place in the Pacific Northwest life sciences community.
