Fenwick & West represented Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO) in its pending acquisition of Cognitive Security, which is headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic and provides security software focused on applying artificial intelligence techniques to detect advanced cyber threats. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. It is expected to close in the third quarter of Cisco’s fiscal year 2013, subject to customary closing conditions.
