Fenwick & West represented Coinbase, Inc., a leading digital currency wallet and platform where merchants and customers can transact with new digital currencies, in acquiring the Distributed Systems team to join Coinbase to work on decentralized identity solutions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
In connection with the transaction, the Distributed Systems team will be joining Coinbase. As Coinbase continues to bring cryptocurrency into the mainstream and help create an open financial system, the team will research new and innovative ways of validating and verifying identity.
