Fenwick & West represented GitHub, Inc., the world’s leading software development platform, in its pending $7.5 billion acquisition by Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT). The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year, subject to customary conditions.
The acquisition of GitHub will further Microsoft’s abilities to empower open source developers while accelerating enterprise developers’ use of GitHub.
