Fenwick & West Represents Alphablox in Acquisition by IBM

IBM has announced its intention to acquire long-time Fenwick & West client Alphablox Corporation of Mountain View, CA. Alphablox's business intelligence software enables organizations to embed analytics into existing business processes, providing enterprise-wide, integrated data analysis across a wide spectrum of users and applications.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Alphablox was represented by a team of Fenwick & West attorneys led by corporate partners Mark Leahy and Gordon Davidson. The team included corporate associates Marissa Song, John Shields, Yoonie Chang and Blake Martell. The transaction also called for expertise from a number of attorneys in the firm's other practice groups, including intellectual property advice provided by partners David Hayes and Laura Majerus.
