Fenwick Represents Cisco Systems in Acquisition of IronPort Systems

Fenwick & West LLP represented its client Cisco Systems, Inc. in its acquisition of San Bruno, CA-based IronPort Systems, Inc. IronPort is a leading provider of Internet gateway security, focusing on enterprise spam and spyware protection. Cisco will pay approximately $830 million in cash and stock for IronPort in the transaction.

The transaction is subject to closing conditions, and is expected to close in the third quarter of Cisco's fiscal year 2007.
