Fenwick & West LLP represented its longtime client, NetScreen Technologies, Inc., a maker of integrated network security products, in its acquisition of OneSecure, Inc., developers of an innovative intrusion detection and prevention solution. The transaction, valued at approximately $40 million, is NetScreen's first since becoming a public company in 2001. The Fenwick team was led by corporate partner Doug Cogen, with assistance from intellectual property partner Lisa Kenkel. Fenwick corporate associates Melissa Eisenberg, Sejin Kim, Greg Roussel, and Melanie Grace; intellectual property associates Kirk Gottlieb, Devin Gensch, Greg Sato and Ines Gonzalez; and tax associate Andrew Kim assisted with the transaction. All Fenwick attorneys are based in the firm's Palo Alto office other than Mr. Cogen, who is resident in the San Francisco office. OneSecure was represented by the East Palo Alto office of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP.
