Cordance v. Amazon.com

February 22, 2011

Served as lead trial counsel for e-commerce pioneer Amazon.com winning a defense jury verdict in Delaware District Court. After a three week trial, a jury returned a verdict in favor of Amazon.com in its long-running dispute with Seattle-based Cordance over Amazon's famous 1-Click™ feature, as well as patents covering product review and feedback features. Cordance claimed that Amazon.com infringed four of its patents and claimed $60 Million in damages. The jury found that one of Cordance's patents was invalid, and that Amazon.com did not infringe any of Cordance's remaining patents.
