Fenwick & West represented Macromedia, Inc., the leading creator of web development tools such as Flash and Dreamweaver, in their acquisition of Boston-based Allaire Corporation, a leading developer of software for web application servers, visual tools and application frameworks.

Fenwick & West's transaction team was led by the firm's chair Gordy Davidson and M&A partner Doug Cogen with intellectual property partner Tim Covington, securities partner Rob Freedman, employee benefits partner Garth Gartrell, tax partner Ron Schrotenboer, litigation partner David Lisi and antitrust partner Mark Ostrau.
