Fenwick was awarded the “2010 Technologies Deal of the Year Award” (deal size above 500 million USD) for its representation of SonicWALL, Inc.’s $717 million acquisition by an investor group led by Thoma Bravo. Richard Dickson, Chair of Fenwick’s Start-ups and Venture Capital Group, and Kris Withrow, Partner-elect in the Corporate Group, accepted the award on behalf of the firm. Fenwick also won the “2010 Cross Border M&A Deal of the Year Award” (deal size above 250 million USD) for its representation of Diamond Foods, Inc.’s $615 million acquisition of Kettle Foods, makers of the premium potato chips, from Lion Capital. Doug Cogen, Co-Chair of Fenwick’s M&A Group, accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
