Informatica v Business Objects

December 16, 2008

Fenwick & West filed suit on behalf of Informatica, asserting that products sold by Business Objects infringed several Informatica patents. After the judge determined that, as a matter of law, Business Objects' products infringed Informatica's patents, in April 2007, a jury determined that the patents were valid, that Business Objects' infringement was willful, and that a reasonable royalty for the infringement was $25 million.
