Mountain View, CA (August 24, 2012) – Fenwick & West attorney, Claire O’Callaghan, has been named the California Young Lawyers Association (CYLA) liaison to the International Law Section of the California State Bar.
“I am pleased to be representing the young lawyer constituency of the bar both as a CYLA board member and now as a liaison to the International Law Section,” said O’Callaghan. “The international section holds particular significance for me, having begun my career practicing law in Ireland.”
O’Callaghan is an associate in the Intellectual Property Group of Fenwick & West, where her practice focuses on commercial transactions related to intellectual property and technology, including licensing and strategic alliances in a broad range of industries. She also advises on intellectual property matters associated with public and private mergers and acquisitions. She is a graduate of University College Cork, Ireland, and Stanford Law School.
CYLA is the nation’s largest association of young and new lawyers. It provides opportunities for networking and education, and advocates for issues important to young and new lawyers. Active members of the California State Bar who are either in their first five years of practice or under age 36 are automatically members and membership is free. More information is available on the CYLA website.
