April 25, 2011 (San Francisco, CA) – Fenwick & West LLP is pleased to announce that, for the fifth consecutive year, the Firm has been recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work in the Bay Area” by the San Francisco Business Times.
Fenwick Chairman Gordon Davidson and Chief Administrative Officer Lois Boyd accepted the award on behalf of the Firm on Thursday evening at the celebration dinner in San Francisco. "We take considerable pride in receiving this award for the past several years. Credit goes to everyone at Fenwick & West for creating and promoting a positive, collegial work environment for all," said Mr. Davidson.
"I've consistently felt that Fenwick & West is a great Firm that cares about its employees. To be repeatedly named as one of the very Best Places to Work in the Bay Area confirms that impression," said Pat Lyden, Chief Human Resource Officer at Fenwick.
Fenwick & West placed 5th among companies of similar size and was the highest ranked law firm on the list. The Firm has consistently been designated as one of the Best Places to Work by The Human Rights Campaign Foundation and was also recognized as “Employer of the Year” in 2010 by The Arc of San Francisco for its efforts to support employees with disabilities.
The comprehensive survey, which was tabulated by Quantum Workplace, sought employee responses covering a wide range of topics, including workplace environments, management communications, benefits, and compensation. This year’s survey brought nominations from 301 companies representing employees in 12 counties around the greater Bay Area. The entire list of the “Best Places to Work” will appear in a special May 1st edition of the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal.
