September 15, 2011 (Mountain View, CA) – Rajiv Patel, a partner in Fenwick & West's Intellectual Property Group, was recently appointed to the board of trustees of the University of New Hampshire School of Law.
Patel is one of six new trustees appointed to the 30-member board. He is an accomplished patent attorney with prosecution, counseling, transaction and litigation experience. His clients include Amazon, Google, Synopsys and Twitter.
The University of New Hampshire School of Law was previously Franklin Pierce Law Center. In 2010, the University of New Hampshire and Franklin Pierce Law Center agreed to an affiliation and a start to the process that may culminate in a full merger of the law school with the University. In addition to overseeing this continuing process, the Board will also oversee growth and direction of the school as it builds on synergies with the University system. According to Board Chair Cathy Green, "This is an extraordinarily accomplished group of new trustees, with the type of national and international experience that will be a great asset to UNH Law. We are excited to welcome this wealth of new talent to our Board."
