June 10, 2004 (Mountain View, CA) – Fenwick & West LLP is pleased to announce that Susan Samuels Muck is joining the Firm as a partner in the Litigation Group effective immediately. She will practice in the Firm's San Francisco office.

Susan Muck, 44, has extensive experience representing companies, individuals and financial institutions in SEC enforcement proceedings, investigations by the New York Attorney General, securities class actions, derivative actions and other complex commercial litigation. Muck also serves as counsel to boards of directors and audit committees in connection with internal investigations and shareholder derivative demands, and advises financial institutions with respect to compliance programs. Her client roster has included Morgan Stanley, Charles Schwab, Micromuse and Siebel Systems.
Muck is admitted to practice in California. She received her J.D. in 1986 from University of Virginia School of Law and her B.A., with honors, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1982 from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Susan Muck has previously been a partner at Clifford Chance US LLP, Brobeck Phleger & Harrison LLP and Shearman & Sterling.
In addition to the arrival of Muck, the Firm is also welcoming seven new litigation associates. They are Gerald Audant, Christopher Garcia, Alice Jensen, Catherine Duden Kevane, Felix Lee, John Lister and Jenefer Swede. The incoming associates will also be resident in San Francisco.
