New App Wins in Stanford's Women in Law Hackathon

Fenwick litigation partner Lynn Pasahow and a team of fellow legal professionals earned first place in Stanford Law School’s first-ever Women in Law Hackathon.

The competition, held to generate ideas for improving gender parity in law firms, was covered in Bloomberg Law, the ABA Journal and the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

Pasahow’s team, a mix of lawyers from other law firms and a Stanford law student, won for inventing an app that creates an objective and transparent method to evaluate lawyers and assign compensation, Bloomberg Law reported. The team donated the $10,000 in prize money to Ms. JD, a nonprofit dedicated to the success of women in law, the ABA Journal noted.
