Fenwick intellectual property partner Antonia Sequeira was profiled in a Diversity & Flexibility Alliance 'Spotlight on Flex' feature about law firms that embrace flex work policies and attorneys who successfully work reduced hours.
Sequeira—a top-tier patent attorney and mother of a four-year-old—told the alliance that after working full-time during her first five years at Fenwick, she was able to make partner while on a 70 percent schedule.
Now on a 90 percent schedule, Sequeira noted that working flexibly gives her the ability to have a long-term, sustainable career at a large firm. She can be available whenever clients need her while also being able to attend her daughter’s preschool events, participate in pro bono and mentor other women at the firm.
