When Should CEOs Disclose Serious Health Problems?

Fenwick securities enforcement co-chair Michael Dicke spoke with CNN, discussing best practices for disclosing when a company’s CEO is experiencing a serious health issue.

Dicke recommended that boards have any public statements about the medical condition and its treatment verified as accurate by a medical professional.

“It could be the doctors involved in treating the executive or it could be an outside resource who is medically qualified to evaluate the statement,” he told CNN.
