E-Degree: Group Seeks Standards for Discovery Workers

January 01, 2010

January 1, 2010 (Mountain View, CA) – Robert Brownstone, Law & Technology Director and Co-Chair of the Electronic Information Management Practice Group at Fenwick & West LLP, was quoted in the ABA Journal article "E-Degree: Group Seeks Standards for Discovery Workers."

The article addresses the rapidly developing field of E-Discovery and the knowledge level of various legal industry professionals including lawyers, technical support staff and the judiciary, as well as efforts made to educate the legal community on e-discovery practices by the Los Angeles-based Organization of Legal Professionals. Mr. Brownstone commented, "There is a compelling need for lawyers and other legal workers to be as expert as possible in electronic information issues and there is a huge gap between those who know all the nuts and bolts and those who don't know anything. For lawyers, the level of understanding is very mixed."

The article may be read in its entirety on the ABA Journal website.
