November 3, 2011 (Mountain View, CA) – FLEX by Fenwick was recently named as a "Highly Commended" program within the Business of Law category in the Financial Times "2011 US Innovative Lawyers Report."
This report examines innovation and creativity among law firms in the United States, which play a critical role in the success of US business. Entries from law firms were scored based on three criteria: originality, rationale behind the work, and the impact of the work on client business, industry or transformation of a legal field. Each submission could receive a maximum of 30 points, and were ranked according to their total scores. 108 out of 272 submissions were ranked for this report.
Fenwick & West's FLEX program received a total score of 19 in the Business of Law category, ranking seventh overall in the category. This category focused on the business models of law firms and the ways in which firms are innovating in this area, particularly in the wake of today's economic environment.
The FLEX program was recognized for their technology licensing practice that offers experienced attorneys the opportunity to become part of their clients' legal teams to help with fluctuations in resourcing requirements. Click here to read the full Financial Times report.
