Victor Schachter, co-chair of Fenwick’s Employment Practices Group, was featured in an ABA Journal article titled “Lawyers Giving Back” for his work in India establishing court-annexed mediation centers and training mediators and judges.
Under the auspices of the Institute for the Study and Development of Legal Systems, Schachter has actively participated in rule of law initiatives promoting alternative dispute resolution and judicial case management in Brazil, Turkey, Malaysia and India. In cooperation with the Supreme Court of India, he served as a project director for legal reform programs in New Delhi and Bangalore. He continues to participate in these initiatives and other international rule of law programs.
