Meet the New ABA Litigation Head: Fenwick’s Pulgram Has Big Plans for the Bar’s Biggest Section

Fenwick partner Laurence Pulgram, who took over as Chair of the ABA’s Section of Litigation, spoke with The American Lawyer about the new position, what he’s got planned for the next 12 months and some of the challenges facing today’s litigators.

Pulgram, who chairs Fenwick’s Commercial Litigation practice and co-chairs the firm’s Copyright Litigation practice, told The American Lawyer, “I’m very excited to be the first San Francisco-Bay Area lawyer in this position in 38 years… Particularly encouraging was the management and leadership at Fenwick & West. Their support makes it all possible.”

The Section of Litigation is the ABA’s largest practice entity with more than 50,000 members. It is dedicated to helping litigators become more effective advocates for their clients and improving the profession and justice system.
