Crystal advises leading-edge technology and life sciences companies as they build and commercialize global brand portfolios. She designs and executes end-to-end brand strategies (from selection and clearance through protection, enforcement, and monetization) and delivers practical, business-oriented counsel on complex acquisitions, IP ownership structuring, licensing strategy, and digital asset management.
Crystal has extensive experience navigating emerging legal and regulatory challenges in the AI, Web3, gaming, and blockchain ecosystems to align IP strategy with product development and market expansion. Her advisory experience includes structuring and negotiating complex brand-licensing agreements, resolving high-value global trademark disputes, directing global online enforcement programs, and advising AI product teams on brand architecture and risk mitigation. She works closely with clients to develop brand guidelines, product-naming frameworks, and brand use policies. Crystal also regularly advises on acquisition and management of digital brand assets like social media handles and domain portfolios, leads IP diligence and negotiation in M&A transactions, and guides game developers and publishers on the use of third-party IP.
Crystal is active in the International Trademark Association and has served on the Young Practitioners Committee and the Brands and Innovation Committee.
Prior to joining Fenwick, Crystal was an associate at a leading law firm where she counseled corporate and individual clients in intellectual property matters, including intellectual property portfolio management, IP procurement and enforcement, licensing and general IP-related transactions.
During law school, Crystal was an editor for the Rutgers Business Law Review.
