Emma represents innovative companies in patent infringement and other disputes. Her practice spans technological fields, including cloud computing, networking and telecommunications, manufacturing, medical devices, and consumer goods. Emma is experienced in all phases of trial litigation, from pre-litigation counseling through discovery, summary judgment, and trial. Emma has represented clients in venues throughout the country, including in federal district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Emma has an active pro bono practice representing asylum seekers in asylum and removal proceedings; representing inmates in prisoners’ rights disputes; and assisting applicants in DACA, naturalization, and citizenship proceedings.
Before joining Fenwick, Emma worked as a patent litigation associate for an AmLaw 100 firm, where she litigated patent and related complex commercial cases across the country. During law school, she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Susan Y. Illston of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, and as editor-in-chief for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal.
