Claire O’Callaghan represents emerging and high growth life science and technology companies in commercial transactions relating to intellectual property, technology and data. Claire has experience structuring and negotiating licensing, joint venture and strategic alliance transactions in a wide range of industries, including agreements relating to collaboration, supply chain, channel partner and customer relationships. She also advises companies and investors on intellectual property matters associated with mergers, acquisitions, spin outs, corporate financings and initial public offerings.
Prior to joining Fenwick & West, Claire was an associate in the Intellectual Property Transactions Group at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP in San Francisco. Following law school, she was an attorney in the Life Sciences & Technology Practice Group at Arthur Cox in Dublin, Ireland.
Claire attended law school at Stanford University, from where she received her Master of Laws (LLM) in Law, Science and Technology, and University College Cork, Ireland, from where she received her Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) degree (JD equivalent).
Claire is a member of the State Bar of California and the Law Society of Ireland. She served on the Board of Directors of the State Bar of California's California Young Lawyers Association from 2009 to 2012.
