Frank Yang emphasizes strategic patent counseling and obtaining patent protection for startup and established clients in his practice. Additionally, Frank has significant experience in both software and hardware technologies. Specific technology areas include telecommunications, OLED displays, RF power amplifiers, switching power supplies, NVM bitcells, DRAM interfaces, electronic design automation, user interfaces, malware detection, distributed computing and aircraft construction.
While in law school, Frank was the recipient of an Intellectual Property Scholarship and served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Law & Business. Prior to attending law school, Frank was an application engineer at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) where he supported the Athlon 64 microprocessor and analyzed the signal integrity of SCSI, DDR memory, and Hypertransport bus interfaces. He has also held internships at a telecommunications startup and an optical research laboratory.
