Overview

Jonathan (Jon) McMichael focuses his practice on patent litigation and other intellectual property litigation matters for companies in the life sciences and technology industries. Jon has represented clients in a variety of venues throughout the country, including federal district courts, the International Trade Commission and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Jon has experience in all phases of disputes, including managing discovery, taking depositions, drafting summary judgment and other motions, and preparing for trial. He also has experience drafting and submitting patent applications to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to joining Fenwick & West, Jon clerked for Chief Judge Leonard Davis in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

While in law school, Jon was Articles Editor for Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science and Technology.
