Phillip Haack focuses his practice on litigation and patent litigation matters for technology-based clients.
Prior to attending law school, Phillip was a software engineer, developing end-user desktop and web-based systems at a number of Bay Area technology companies. Drawing on his extensive technical experience, Phillip has represented companies in matters relating to a variety of technologies including ecommerce, web and Internet technologies, database systems, distributed systems, encryption and financial systems. Phillip has experience in all aspects of pre-trial patent litigation including technical tutorials, claim construction, summary judgment, depositions, and expert discovery.
He is a co-author with Jedediah Wakefield of "Marking the Territory," an article published in the October 20, 2008 Daily Journal.
While at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, he was Online Content Editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly.
