29th Annual Stanford Directors’ College

Hosted By: Stanford Law School

Directors’ College is the nation’s premier executive education program for directors and C-level executives of publicly traded firms. Now in its twenty-ninth year, Directors’ College brings together leading CEOs, directors, regulators, jurists, and scholars for a rigorous and balanced examination of corporate governance, strategy, and the evolving role of the modern public company board of directors.

Fenwick litigation partner and leader of the firm's employment practice, Sheeva Ghassemi, will speak on a panel titled, "The Evolution of Corporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs." This panel will address the myriad challenges that corporations face when trying to live up to DEI demands, including rising anti-DEI sentiments and litigation, uncertainty surrounding the legality of corporate DEI initiatives, unconscious bias, and resistance to change. The panel will also explore strategies for diversifying the larger workforce and building an inclusive culture, including how to measure progress and hold management accountable.
