ACAMS 22nd Annual AML & Anti-Financial Crime Conference

Fenwick partner and head of the firm's Trade & National Security practice Melissa Duffy will participate on a panel titled, "Shifting the Spotlight to Sanctions Evasion" at the ACAMS Las Vegas Conference.

Attendees will learn how to:

• Identify the sanctions evasion priorities for the U.S. government and law enforcement and how they fit into the international environment
• Recognize the main techniques used to evade export controls for battlefield goods, sensitive technologies and dual use items
• Reassess risk-based compliance programs in response to the novel and expansive merger of sanctions and export controls

Additionally, Melissa will join a Global Threats Roundtable to discuss projections for the 2024 global AFC threat landscape, pressing concerns and evolving areas of risk, and opportunities for improving mechanisms for identifying suspected evasion of Russia-related export controls.
