Law360 has named Fenwick partner Doug Cogen to its annual Law360 MVP list. The list honors lawyers who have distinguished themselves by securing hard-earned successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.
The publication honored Cogen, who co-chairs Fenwick’s M&A group, as a Tech MVP for his excellence in technology law.
Cogen focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, strategic and commercial transactions, corporate counseling and governance, securities matters, shareholder activism and takeover defense. He has steered many top tech innovators and leading serial acquirers through major industry-reshaping transactions, and his work this year alone includes leading Symantec’s $10.7 billion sale of its Enterprise Security assets to Broadcom, Loxo Oncology’s $8 billion acquisition by Eli Lilly and Company, Cisco’s $2.6 billion acquisition of Acacia Communications and Fitbit's pending $2.1 billion acquisition by Google. In 2019, Fenwick’s M&A group was named Technology M&A Law Firm of the Year for the fifth consecutive year by Global M&A Network.
