Fenwick's Jamie Evans Talks State of IPOs at Bloomberg Invest

Fenwick capital markets & public companies co-chair Jamie Evans participated on a panel with other industry leaders at Bloomberg Invest New York.

The panel, “IPO Insiders: Can Biggest Year for Debuts Keep Up the Pace?”, covered the record number of initial public offerings in 2019 and what the second half of the year will look like for investors.

Panelists discussed current IPO trends, in addition to some of 2019’s big IPOs. On companies filing IPOs in the current climate, Evans noted, “The ability to do most of these deals confidentially now has made a huge difference in a company’s willingness to start the process.”

He also emphasized the importance of management teams when it comes to post-IPO performance, urging companies to "invest in your board and your management team.”

Evans has extensive experience in capital markets transactions and has represented issuers, underwriters and other parties in a variety of public and private offerings of both equity and debt securities, including some of the most high-profile technology public offerings in history.
