Law Firm Subsidiaries Stand Out as Clients Embrace Alternatives

July 19, 2019

The American Lawyer reported that alternate legal service providers (ALSPs)—specifically subsidiaries owned by law firms such as FLEX by Fenwick—were among the leading examples that stood out in a new survey by the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC).

The publication noted that while an increasing number of law firms were introducing their own ALSPs, FLEX is one of two law firm subsidiaries that have already caught on with corporate legal departments.

CLOC’s report revealed that nearly half of the report’s respondents had used ALSPs in 2018, and the providers they named as favorites included FLEX.

FLEX is the only service created by an Am Law 100 firm that provides flexible and cost-effective solutions for interim, in-house legal needs to high-growth companies. The service is an example of how Fenwick develops new approaches to meet client needs and drive efficiencies and value.
