Will counsels emerging and high-growth companies in a broad range of general corporate and securities law matters with a primary focus on incorporation and formation issues and venture capital financings. Will’s practice also includes providing day-to-day counseling to these companies (and their board of directors). Will also represents venture capital firms and other investors.
Considered a strategic partner by clients, Will thrives working in the trenches with emerging and high-growth companies and venture capital investors investing into these companies, combining pragmatic business experience and legal expertise to provide full-cycle counsel to clients throughout their journeys from incorporating their businesses, securing VC funding and addressing other day-to-day legal obstacles.
As a Latino and a startup attorney, Will prioritizes connecting with and supporting other Latinos within the startup and venture capital ecosystems, working together to increase our visibility and success in these communities, including working with LatinxVC.
While attending law school, Will served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Philip R. Martinez, with the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. Will is also an adjunct professor at UTEP where he co-teaches a two-week course focusing on the legal infrastructure of technology companies.
