Mountain View, CA (May 17, 2016)– National publication Law360 named tax partner Larissa Neumann to its annual list of Rising Stars, “attorneys under 40 whose legal accomplishments belie their age.”

Neumann represents many leading technology companies, focusing her practice on U.S. tax planning and tax controversy with an emphasis on international transactions. She has broad experience advising clients on acquisitions, restructurings and transfer pricing issues. Neumann has also successfully represented clients in federal tax controversies at the audit level, in appeals and in court.

The publication highlighted Neumann’s work counseling French pharmaceutical giant Aventis Agriculture SA in its refund suit in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
“The case involves complex income tax treaty issues between the U.S., U.K. and France, allowing Neumann to apply her problem-solving skills, which she says is one of her chief strengths,” Law360 reported.
In addition to her litigation work, Neumann has counseled leading companies like Facebook in key deals and cross-border transactions. She guided Facebook in its $2 billion acquisition of Oculus VR among other deals and has also represented Dropbox in each of its acquisitions.
Neumman also frequently speaks on U.S. corporate and international tax issues for professional tax groups, including the highly regarded tax organization Tax Executives Institute and the American Bar Association.
