Skyline Software v. Keyhole, et al.

Skyline filed patent infringement claims against Keyhole and subsequently against Google after it acquired Keyhole. The action targeted Keyhole's "Google Earth" technology, which involves the provision of satellite imagery over the Internet. Initially, we defeated Skyline's motion for preliminary injunction, which sought to temporarily shut down Google Earth. The court then ruled on summary judgment that Google Earth did not infringe Skyline's patent. 83 USPQ2d (BNA) 1048 (D. Mass. 2007).
