Blockchain Technology and Token Offerings: Back to the Future

Hosted By: The Seminar Group

The recent rise in the use of public token offerings (or what some people refer to as initial coin offerings, or ICOs) to raise capital compels an evaluation of the legal, structural, and operational issues raised by this relatively new form of financing. Public token offerings are outpacing the establishment of comprehensive and clear regulatory scheme under U.S. securities laws. As a result, every public token sale must be independently evaluated to ensure compliance with securities laws.

This two-day seminar will explain token sales from end to end. We will also discuss the business implications for cryptocurrency and investing in blockchain-based companies.

Fenwick Counsel Dan Friedberg will be speaking on day one on the panel, "The SEC and Token Sales; Enforcement and Private Litigation."
