COVID-19: Return-to-Work and Track-and-Trace: CDC and Global Privacy Guidance and Benchmarking

Hosted By: Fenwick & West

Over the past few months, the fundamental principles of data privacy and security have been threatened by a global pandemic that has significantly altered the work environment and mandated new controls and approaches to safeguard personal information. More than 60 U.S. and global data protection authorities and governmental agencies have issued guidance on health data collection, COVID-19 diagnosis disclosure, work-at-home practices and return-to-work approaches. The guidance concerning company processing of personal health information related to COVID-19 varies in its level of restrictiveness across jurisdictions (and in some cases conflicts), further complicating the challenges for global companies.

In this webinar, you will hear from industry global privacy leaders, Fenwick’s privacy practice and esteemed law professor Dan Solove. The panel will cover the following:

  • 60+ Country Guidance. Summary of the guidance across more than 60 jurisdictions, including the latest return-to-work guidance from the CDC (9:00 – 9:20 a.m.)
  • Industry Leader Roundtable. A roundtable of leading privacy professionals across technology, healthcare, and financial services, and how their products and offerings are changing to meet current challenges (9:20 – 10:00 a.m.)
  • Live Benchmarking. Live benchmarking of company approaches hosted by Professor Dan Solove through videoconference polling during the session (10:00 – 10:15 a.m.)
  • Q&A. Pose your questions to our expert panel (10:15 – 10:30 a.m.)
