Fenwick's DC Office Move Featured in Law360 Pulse

Fenwick’s recent move to a new Washington, DC office was profiled in Law360 Pulse’s Office Snapshot.

After planting our flag in the nation's capital five years ago, Fenwick’s growth there necessitated more leg room, Law360 reported.

“The other office, we were sort of expanding bit by bit, but we're at a space that really dedicates itself to collaboration,” Fenwick privacy & cybersecurity practice area lead Michael Sussmann told the outlet.

Steps from the seat of national power, the DC office is “a great location because we're right near a bunch of the agencies we deal with, we're not too far from the White House, we're not too far from Capitol Hill," litigation partner Jon Lenzner told Law360.

With capabilities spanning crisis management, internal investigations, and government enforcement; intellectual property; privacy and cybersecurity; securities law; and regulatory matters involving trade, national security, antitrust, and government contracts, the DC office is "extremely integrated with the different practice areas and [seven total] offices across the firm," forming an important connection point for Fenwick’s full-service platform, trade and national security partner Melissa Duffy said.

Like Fenwick, the space itself is a mix of law firm sophistication and Silicon Valley moxie.

"It doesn't look like a traditional law firm. It has a very tech-forward feeling," Duffy said. "But at the same time, it doesn't just feel like a startup company. It's a very elegant space. It's very sophisticated and beautiful, but it also feels very modern and idea-forward."

The office is home to more than 60 attorneys, patent agents, trade analysts, and business professionals.
