Brian Buckley on Rejoining Fenwick After Stint as Tech Company GC

Litigation partner Brian Buckley was quoted in several publications, including Corporate Counsel, on his decision to return to Fenwick after a four-year stint as an associate general counsel for litigation and regulatory at Amazon.

Buckley told reporters that while he enjoyed his experience at Amazon, he was excited to rejoin Fenwick’s growing litigation practice and that his decision came down to a desire to be a trial lawyer again.

“It’s hard to sit there as a corporate representative in the courtroom and watch your outside lawyers have all the fun,” Buckley told Corporate Counsel.

Buckley also said that his time with Amazon was an incredible experience that gave him a better understanding of what tech companies want from their outside counsel, and that he is looking forward to being a more effective adviser to technology general counsels.
