Fenwick’s Dave Bell Discusses California Board Gender Diversity Law with CNN Business

Fenwick corporate governance practice co-chair David Bell spoke with CNN Business about a recent trial court ruling that struck down a California law governing board gender inclusion.

The law, California’s Senate Bill 826, went into effect in 2018 and requires publicly traded companies based in California to have at least one woman director, companies with five board members to have at least two women directors and companies with six or more directors to have at least three women directors.
