For the fifth consecutive year, Fenwick has been recognized by Seramount as one of the 50 Best Law Firms for Women. The annual list ranks firms with a demonstrated commitment to helping women rise to the highest levels in law firms.

In developing the list, Seramount evaluated firms on their practices for recruiting, retaining, developing and promoting women lawyers. Fenwick earned top scores in several categories, including for flexibility and access to reduced hours or remote work, for women’s representation achieved through hiring and promotion and for external programs that support women’s advancement. Seramount, a consulting and research firm focused on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace, determined the scores based on demographics, roles, policies, programs and usage rates.

“Our Best Law Firms for Women continue to improve in many critical areas,” said Subha V. Barry, president of Seramount. “Representation of women managing partners has increased significantly and we’ve seen progress for multicultural women lawyers at every level. Our firms recognize the importance of recruiting and retaining this important talent pool and have developed the family-friendly benefits to prove it. All of these combined are important steps toward parity.”

Fenwick regularly receives recognition for its DEI efforts, including being named the top firm nationally for women in business law and work-life balance at Euromoney Legal Media Group’s 2022 Women in Business Law Awards. Year-over-year we receive a 100 percent score (A+ rating) on The Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index for our pro-LGBTQ policies and working environment. Additionally, Fenwick was named a 2022 Best Place to Work in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley Business Journal and was also named to Crain’s New York Business’ Best Places to Work for the third consecutive year in the fall.
