Fenwick Welcomes New Partner Jennifer Yoo to Growing Regulatory and Healthtech Practices

Fenwick today announced the arrival of new partner Jennifer Yoo, a corporate regulatory attorney with deep experience in healthcare-related transactions. Yoo joins the firm as it expands its regulatory capabilities to serve the rapid growth of its technology and life sciences clients.

With the addition of Yoo, Fenwick continues to bolster its Corporate Regulatory Group, which welcomed antitrust partners Steve Albertson and Tom Ensign, and national security and trade partner Melissa Duffy to its newly opened Washington, DC, office in August.

“Jennifer is a perfect complement to our expanding regulatory team,” Fenwick chair Richard Dickson said. “The continued development of this team is an investment in the future. We are committed to meeting the needs of our rapidly growing tech and life sciences clients.”

Located in the firm’s Santa Monica office, Yoo brings deep experience in healthcare and healthtech — heavily-regulated areas of innovation, with healthtech sitting at the convergence of traditional life sciences and technology. Her work in healthcare regulatory and industry-specific knowledge serve the needs of the dynamic digital health and life sciences organizations that Fenwick advises.

“Jennifer’s practice is synergistic with our focus on serving highly innovative companies in cutting-edge industries,” corporate chair Alan Smith said. “Her skillset will benefit our clients given the growth in transactions we are seeing in the healthtech sector.”

Yoo represents clients in the healthcare industry on regulatory and transactional matters, including on M&A, joint ventures, affiliations, securities offerings, financings and various transactional matters involving healthcare facilities, physician organizations and other healthcare providers, suppliers and life sciences companies.

“Fenwick’s platform and market position present enormous opportunities to expand my healthcare regulatory practice, particularly in the digital health and telehealth spaces, which have grown significantly in the past few years.” Yoo said. “I am thrilled to be part of a team that has such a deep and dedicated understanding of their clients’ business and technologies.”

Yoo also counsels clients on a wide range of regulatory and transactional matters, including healthcare fraud and abuse compliance, regulatory licensing, government reimbursement matters, integrated delivery systems and digital health and telehealth laws and regulations.
