Fenwick Nabs SEC Associate Regional Director in SF

Fenwick & West’s hiring of SEC associate regional director for enforcement Michael Dicke was spotlighted in an article in the Daily Journal.

Dicke will be joining Fenwick’s securities litigation practice as a partner. He is expected to begin Nov. 3.

Dicke said he felt it was time for a change.

"After working at the enforcement group for five years, I felt like that was enough," Dicke said. "I could see that there was going to be an explosion in SEC litigation coming down the pipes and that made my decision to get back into private practice easier."

Dicke said that he saw great potential to expand Fenwick’s practice to new areas.

"At the firm, we currently help our clients on the issuer side, but where we really have room to grow is in compliance advice."

Dicke added that while at the SEC, he was impressed with the representation by Fenwick’s securities litigation attorneys of clients who were facing charges.

"They are regarded as one of the best securities litigation departments in the country," Dicke observed.

Rodger Cole, chair of the firm's litigation group, said, "Our securities litigation group is strong top to bottom, and this investment shows that we are committed to staying on top of client needs."
