Akshay Panchavati, whose field is electrical and computer engineering, assists in the drafting of U.S. and foreign patent applications for clients in a wide range of technology industries.
Prior to joining Fenwick & West, Akshay was studying for his graduate degree while working as a Graduate Research Assistant under Professor Armani at USC. At USC he worked on novel photonic sensors and as a New Product Development Engineer for Connecticut based startup Tambool. From 2011 to 2013 Akshay worked for Sensata Technologies as an Electrical Design Engineer where he designed EMI and ESD immunity circuitry for use in Electro-Mechanical pressure and force sensors for automotive and industrial customers. He was also the recipient of the College of Engineering Director’s Scholarship at Cornell University.
