John Kind, who specializes in software engineering and nano-technology, assists in the drafting of U.S. and foreign patent applications for clients primarily in the entertainment, medical technology, and computer software industries. He also performs patent and technology analysis to support patent litigation.
John spent four years performing research in the Physics Department at the University of Leeds. His research focus was creating systems, simulations and interfaces to aid in the construction of nano-scale devices. During that time he collaborated with other researchers on nano-manufacturing projects in fields such as liquid crystal displays, nano-circuitry and next generation drug delivery.
Prior to joining Fenwick & West, John was a software developer and consultant for an independent diamond grading laboratory and a company producing language software for children.
