Linda Goldman focuses on domestic and international trademark counseling. Her practice includes advising clients on the selection, use, and protection of trademarks, prosecuting and maintaining U.S. and foreign trademark registrations, representing clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, negotiating agreements, developing trademark compliance programs, and counseling on domain name and trademark issues related to the Internet. Over the span of her career, working in the government, corporate and legal sectors, Linda has acquired the unique breadth of experience to develop cost-effective brand protection strategies for her clients.
Prior to joining Fenwick & West, Linda was Of Counsel with WRB-IP, a law firm based in Alexandria, Virginia. At WRB-IP, Linda specialized in trademark counseling and also represented a software company in a user interface trade dress and copyright infringement action. Just prior to joining WRB-IP, Linda was in-house counsel at a major biopharmaceutical company where she handled a worldwide trademark portfolio, managed litigation, and advised the company on copyrights, advertising, licensing and other strategic transactions. She began her career in intellectual property law as a trademark attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
